Prokhasko Taras
Born on 16 May 1968 in Ivano-Frankivsk, he is a writer, journalist and radio personality.
Profession: botanic. After graduation he was proposed to work at a biostationary situated in the mountains, but Prokhasko declined due to family circumstances. Taras took part in the students’ movement in 1989–1991 and the Revolution on Granite in 1990 in Kyiv.
Having graduated he work at the Ivano-Frankivsk Institute of Carpathians forestry, then was teaching there. In 1992–1993, he worked as a barman, later a guard, and a radio personality on FM "Vezha". Besides, he worked in an art gallery, in a newspaper and in a TV studio. In 1992–1994, he was a "traveling" co-editor of "Chetver" Magazine, because on a regular basis he had to go to Lviv to the university where he studied.

In 1998 he engaged in journalism in the Lviv newspaper "Express", soon after he was writing columns for "Express" and "Postup". For a while he was writing for the on-line newspaper "Telekrytyka". Later Taras started composing articles and leading an author’s column for the Ivano-Frankivsk regional weekly "Galician Korrespondent".
