Oleksiy Sinchenko
Oleksiy was born on 20 July 1978 in Bohuslav, Kyiv region.
He is a literary scholar, editor-in-chief of Cultural Figures series at Dukh i Litera Publishing House.
Education
1997-2001 – Taras Shevchenko National University; Department of Ukrainian Philology; major: Ukrainian language and literature; Master’s degree with honors.
2002-2005 – PhD at the Shevchenko Institute of Literature of NAS of Ukraine; major: 10.01.06 Theory of Literature; Candidate of Philology diploma; title of the dissertation: The Horizon of Hopes and Its Functionality in Literary Process (based on materials of Ukrainian literature in 20–30s of the XX century).
Work experience

2001-2002 – methodologist at the Department of Ukrainian language at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
2002-2005 – graduate student at the Shevchenko Institute of Literature of NAS of Urkaine.
2005-2008 – junior research fellow at the Faculty of Theory of Literature at the Shevchenko Institute of Literature.
2008-2009 – Vice Rector for Research at Skhidnyi Svit University in Kyiv.
Since 2009 – associate professor at the Faculty of Ukrainian Language, Comparative Studies and Social Communication at Borys Hrinchenko University in Kyiv.

2007-2008 – senior professor at the Faculty of World Literature and Education Methodology at Borys Hrinchenko University in Kyiv
2008-2016 – junior research fellow at the Department of Theory of Literature at the Shevchenko Institute of Literature.
Research interests: methodology of literary studies, totalitarian culture, Ukrainian Sixtiers.
